Order in the Court!

Courtrooms are boxes of emotions. Those four walls are brimming with tension. People are angry. People are sad. People are hurt. Courtrooms are different than any other room you’ve ever been in. Family members of a murder victim are asked to sit idly in the same room as the person who committed the heinous act. People are sentenced to spend their lives behind bars. People are sentenced to death. There are more emotions floating around a courtroom than any other room on this planet. And, with such strong emotions, outbursts are bound to happen. Of course, at this point, outbursts are almost expected. But, in the interest of justice, the courts need to curb courtroom outbursts. The TTI Guardian is one way of doing just that.

TTI Guardian is a completely wireless duress system that lets court staff quickly, discreetly and wirelessly alert bailiffs, officers or others that there is trouble in the courtroom. A simple button press on the wireless call fob or two way pager sends a message over the Guardian wireless repeater network to an individual or group providing not only the identity of who triggered the alarm, but also their location.

Unfortunately, there are too many stories of courtroom outbursts that turn violent. Strong emotions can cloud even a sane individual’s judgment. Court officials need to be prepared for the worst. A wireless duress system can ensure the security of everyone in the courtroom. Even amidst such deep-seeded emotions, just still needs to prevail. And courtrooms need to take the necessary precautions to make sure that happens.
