How Personal Alarm Systems Work

Friday, July 2nd, 2010

Wireless duress alarm systems or panic buttons, are used to protect employees of a workplace, and its staff from hazardous working environments. Whether you work at a city nightclub, a courthouse, or even a sport stadium crime and accidents can happen anywhere at any time. It is important to protect yourself and fellow employees.

Personal safety alarms are also used to protect individuals with medical conditions, or who are at high risk of injuring themselves, like the elderly. They are usually worn around the neck however; they can also be attached at the belt with a clip.

Once an alarm is activated, for larger companies, the signal goes to a computer where it is routed and then an announcement is made over facility hand held radios, pagers or telephones so that the proper security personnel are notified.

Smaller systems do not need to access to a computer however, the number is limited when it comes to the amount of alarm buttons that can be accommodated.

TTI Guardian offers three different types of duress alarm systems. With the most up to date technology TTI Guardian will provide you and your employees with the best protection around.
